Hey everyone!

So I thought I'd do the TMI book tag so you can get to know my reading tastes a little more. I tried to do a mixture of books but if you'd like to know what other books I like, my Goodreads link is below so make sure to come say hi!

So here we go.....

Questions:

1) What fictional character has the best style?
Lola from Lola and the boy next door

2)Your book girlfriend/boyfriend/ fictional crush?

Only one? I'll go for one I fell in love with this year which is Arin from the Winner's Curse trilogy. Which is my favourite trilogy at the moment. You need to read them if you haven't.

3)Ever loved a character but than started hating them?
Definitely. To name a few: Dee from the lux series, Marguerite from the Firebird trilogy, Caleb from Divergent.

4)Biggest/Longest book on your shelf?

Jane Austen: Seven Novels.

5)Heaviest book on your shelf?
Probably Jane Austen again

6)Do you have any book posters?
Yep, here's a couple: The Fault in our Stars and Love, Rosie.

7)Do you have any book themed jewellery?
I have a time turner necklace, Hermione's necklace from deathly hallows, A power rune necklace from the mortal instruments, I have pendants with quotes from a variety of books like alice in wonderland. I have a lot more so I won't say any more hehe.

8)Book OTP?
I have so many..... Daemon & Katy. Kestral & Arin. Cress & Thorne. Josh & Emelia. Liam & Ruby. Okay I need to stop now because I could go on forever.

9)Favorite book series?
Such a hard question. I'm going to go with 3: The Lux series, The Darkest Minds and The Winner's Trilogy.

10)Favorite Book-to-movie soundtrack?
Does Les Miserables count? No, I'm only kidding. I love the fault in our stars soundtrack. That's the first one that comes to mind.

11)A book story you miss/ wish would continue?
The Lux series wholeheartedly. I miss Daemon and Katy so much. I lot of series I love when they end so it's wrapped up and everyone is happy. This series was but I would be perfectly happy just reading about their normal day-day lives.

12)Favorite stand-alone?
I'm going to say my favourite book for this one even though I could use so many others but it's The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay. It's such a beautiful book and Katja Millay hasn't written any thing else and it kills me.

13)Since when do you read books?
I've been reading since I was about 4/5 years old. I loved reading Jacqueline Wilson when I was younger. But I've been an avid reader since 2012/2013.

14)Which Hogwarts house are you in?
I am a proud Ravenclaw.

15)Quality you look for in a book?

I am a romance lover so there's got to be some of that but insta-love is my biggest pet peeve. SO no declarations of love before the 200 page mark please unless there's time jumps.

16)Favorite book quote

First one that came to mind: "We're all mad here" from Alice in Wonderland.

17)Favorite author?

Jennifer L. Armentrout

18)Favorite book cover?

Eon by Allison Goodman

19)Action or Romance?

Romance

20)Where do you go when a sad moment happens?

My room or hug my boyfriend :)

21)How long do you need to finish a book?

Not long. A couple of hours roughly. Depends what mood I'm in and if I'm enjoying the book.

22)How long is your mourning period?

I don't really have mourning periods. Sometimes I find it hard to read books if they aren't as good but I'll keep trying until I find one.

23)Least favorite Book?

Ok, let's check goodreads and see my worst rating of a book......  I have a few - but I'm going with Troy High by Shana Norris. That book annoyed me to no end!

24)Turn on in a character?

Smart. Logical. Doesn't fall for two or more people. Humour. Wit.

25)Turn off in a character?

Falling instantly for someone. This isn't really the character but if the book is in 3rd persons POV I find it harder to connect to the character. I'm sure there's more!

26)Reason i joined Booktube?
Because I wanted to talk to other book lovers about books.

27)Name a scary book?
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer

28)Last book that made you cry?

Zip. Zero. Zilch. by Tammy Falkner - Wasn't a fan of the book but this is the 5th book in the series (Each book is about a different couple) and something happens in this book about the boy in the first book that made me cry.

Malteasers

37)Book world you want to live in?

The other day, an old version of A Tale of Two Cities

40)Weird insults used in books?

I honestly can't think of one in my head.

Not really, I have so many ideas that I just don't put on paper very often.

A wand, let's be honest.

I don't know, I'll go count and I'll be back in 2 years...... again ;)......

Okay calculated so from the 13th December 2016:
The books I own by myself (including children books): 844
Including my family's books: 1001
I didn't include the books I'm getting rid of which would be an extra 50 books

50) Favourite genre?
Sci-Fi for sure but like I said before it has to have romance in it!

Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover book review!

Title: Losing Hope
Author: Colleen Hoover
Date I finished this book: 6th July 2014
Rating: 5*

Losing Hope is a companion novel to Hopeless but told from the love interest's point of view. I'm normally not a big fan of companion novels because they just tell the same story, have the same dialogue and nothing interesting is added which tends to make them boring. But Colleen Hoover comes up with such unique ideas to make them different. It honestly didn't feel like I was reading the same story.

If you haven't read Hopeless, I would suggest reading it then come back because there will be some SPOILERS for Hopeless. I definitely recommend it as I would for any of Colleen Hoover's books!

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

Summary:
In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no feeling unshared, and no memory forgotten, but Holder’s past remained a mystery. Still haunted by the little girl he let walk away, Holder has spent his entire life searching for her in an attempt to finally rid himself of the crushing guilt he has felt for years. But he could not have anticipated that the moment they reconnect, even greater remorse would overwhelm him… Sometimes in life, if we wish to move forward, we must first dig deep into our past and make amends. In Losing Hope, bestselling author Colleen Hoover reveals what was going on inside Holder’s head during all those hopeless moments—and whether he can gain the peace he desperately needs.
(Summary from Goodreads)

I loved reading from Holder's POV! The added aspects to the story were amazing especially the diary entries from Holder to Les. They were so beautiful and funny at the same time! A lot of laughing out loud moments during the novel mostly from the inner workings of Holder's mind but also because of Daniel. I have read Finding Cinderella, the novella about Daniel and Sky's best friend, Six. It is a wonderful short story but I wish it was longer so it was lovely to have some great moments from Daniel in Losing Hope.
Even though this novel was still heartbreaking because it still follows Sky's revelations near the end of Hopeless, it felt a lot lighter. I loved reading about Sky through Holder's eyes because it really shows how much he loves her and not entirely because of who she really is. Sky & Holder are in my current top 5 couples! They just complete each other and they were definitely destined to be together.

If you have read Hopeless and you're not sure whether to pick up Losing Hope, you should!! It's incredible and you are really missing out if you don't. So of course, Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover gets 5 stars from me!

Favourite quotes:
“I've loved Hope since we were kids. But tonight? Tonight I fell in love with Sky.”
“I don't want her to feel nothing when I kiss her. I want her to feel everything.”
“In order to miss someone, that means you were privileged enough to have them in your life to begin with.”
“I can't explain to you how perfect this girl is. And when I say perfect, I mean imperfect, because there's just too much wrong with her. But everything wrong with her is everything that draws me in and makes her perfect.”
“F*** all the firsts, Sky. The only thing that matters to me with you are the forevers.”
“I used to think the best part of me died with Les, but the best part of me is standing right here in front of me.”
“I dip my head and kiss her. I kiss her like she deserves to be kissed. I hold her like she deserves to be held. And I'm about to make love to her like she deserves to be loved.”
“I love you, Holder. So much," she says firmly. "And just so you know...so did Hope." As soon as the words leave her mouth, I'm completely consumed by a sense of peace. For the first time since the second she was taken from me, I finally know what forgiveness feels like. "I wish you could feel what that just did to me." I claim her mouth with mine at the same time she completely consumes my heart.”
I have a lot more but then I'd just end up quoting the whole book!
